Freeman Face Masks Review
One brand I can continuously count on for great at-home masks at a very affordable price is Freeman. I have yet to try them all, but tend to pick up one or two each time I go to CVS as I believe they are about $3.99. (Also, CVS almost always has them on sale, 2 for $7!)
I'll start with the Cucumber Peel-Off Mask which states it "clarifies & renews skin." This mask is great for a night when you feel like after washing your face you just didn't quite get everything off. I try to use this at least once every two weeks to give my skin a nice fresh start. I like to use it as I would use a clarifying shampoo on my hair. This is also (in my opinion) the most soothing/relaxing of the three. Meaning, if I had a rough day and I want to sit on the couch with a pint of ice cream and watch chick-flicks, this is going to be on my face.
Next, is the Charcoal & Black Sugar Polishing Mask (my favorite of the three!) which states that it is a "dual-action purifying mask & smoothing exfoliant." I agree with both of these things. I will say this mask is a bit difficult to apply as it is on the chunkier side. It smells (and tastes, oops!) like sugar, and while on your skin gives a warming sensation. This one is definitely one to see results with! After using this mask my skin feels clean, refreshed, hydrated, and oh-so-smooth.
Lastly, we have the Avocado & Oatmeal Clay Mask which "deep cleans & purifies pores." I will start by saying that this mask looks exactly like when you see people on TV with a light green face mask on and cucumbers on their eyes, so that is nice (haha). Of the three, this mask feels the least intense on your face and leaves your skin feeling clean and soft.
I am definitely a big fan of the Freeman masks. They are a great deal for the money and have a nice variety to choose from depending on the results you are looking for. You can purchase Freeman products at CVS.
