June 2013 Beauty Favorites

Happy July! I cannot believe June is already over, 2014 is going to be here before we know it! I have yet to post my June Favorites video because if you follow me on Twitter, you will know that I was recently injured. Basically, I have been stuck on the couch for the past 4 days, and I am taking painkillers which make me a bit loopy. I have not had the energy to get ready and film a video, and due to my medication, it may end up as more of a comedy show than anything. So to save myself the humiliation and you from having to see me looking like a hot mess, I decided to do my written post first. I do plan on filming my video next week sometime when I am feeling better. (Better late than never!)

[With that being said, please forgive my terrible photos, I am unable to bend down so taking them was quite a challenge. Also, when I took them, I thought I did a pretty good job. It wasn't until I put them on my computer that I realized just how off they were. haha.]

I will start off with body products. Recently, I purchased the Aromatherapy Lemon Zest Body Wash and Body Lotion from Bath & Body Works during their semi-annual sale.

I am absolutely in LOVE with these two products. The scent is more of an all over citrus than a pure lemon, which in my opinion is even better (I am not a huge lemon fan). These are perfect to use in the morning because the citrus is really awakening. Also, I love layering the lotion on after I shower, it helps the scent stay on my skin even longer! These are great products and I love how they make my skin feel.

Next, lets talk about hair care. This is a product that I cannot say enough great things about.

The Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask is a product that I picked up on a whim the last time Ulta was having a buy 2 get 1 sale on Neutrogena products. Let me tell you, I am so glad I picked this product up. I have really thick, long hair and it tends to get extremely dry. Personally, I like to use hair masks as more of a regular conditioner seeing I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week. I apply this to the ends of my hair and let it sit while I wash my face, shave my legs, etc. This product leaves my hair so soft and shiny, it amazes me every time! For $7.99 you really can't beat it.

Up next is the CoverGirl Flamed Out Mascara. I won't go into great detail as to why I love this product, but instead I will direct you to the full blog post I did on it. Basically, when this product says waterproof, it means it. This mascara does not smudge for anything, which is nice for someone that tends to have a problem with that (me!). Check out my full blog post to see other reasons this mascara won a spot in my June Favorites!

For nails this month, I have been LOVING Essie's In The Cab-ana. This probably comes as no surprise to you if you watched my Top 10 Summer Nail Polishes and heard me rave about it!

The color of this polish is so vibrant and gorgeous, I seriously can't stop staring at it when it is on my nails! (I have a feeling this may even make it into my July favorites, oops.) It may just be me, but Essie polishes usually don't last very long on my nails and this one does. Maybe they reformulated? Or maybe I just got lucky? Either way, I am loving this color and have been wearing it like crazy!

Next up is another product that I have done a full blog post about, the Sonia Kashuk Perfecting Luminous Liquid Foundation

I have been wearing this foundation almost every day since I purchased it at the beginning of June. I love that it has that luminous look to it, but doesn't get greasy or make my skin extra oily! Check out my full blog post and read more about it!

For lips I have a product that really produces results! The Neosporin Lip Health Daily Hydration Therapy is absolutely incredible if you get really chapped lips.

My lips get so dry that at times they even crack. I have tried lip product after lip product that claims to prevent this, and none of them have. That is, until I found this product... I cannot even explain to you how nice and smooth and hydrated my lips have been since I started using this. I use it every day and my lips have not even come close to being dry and chapped. To make it even better, this contains SPF 20 to keep my lips protected from the summer sun! Neosporin also makes a night formula that I have been wanting to try as well (I will let you know what I think of it once I try it!)

The last product that I have been loving this month will also come as no surprise if you are a reader of my blog. It is the MAC ProLongwear Bronzer in Nude On Board from the Temperature Rising Collection.

I don't believe you can get this at MAC any longer, but I have seen it on Amazon (Click the link above to see the Amazon listing). This is the perfect every day bronzer, and it lasts all day long!! You can read my full blog post  on this product and see why I am loving it this month. Also, included on the post are swatches!

That is it for this month's beauty favorites, keep an eye out for my June Favorites video some time next week where I will go into more detail about why I am loving each one!

What are some of your beauty favorites right now?
