NYX Cream Blush Review and Swatches

I have recently been obsessing over NYX Cream Blush in the color Rouge. Like many "cream" products, I was skeptical at first. I kept thinking that with my oily skin this would be a big greasy mess on my cheeks, but boy was I wrong!

This is the first cream blush I have ever tried and it blew my expectations out of the water. Let me start by showing you the shade...

Rouge is a coral-pink color and when held in the light, has a golden sheen. This is by no means a "glittery" or "sparkly" product. When applied to the cheeks there is no trace of a shimmer, however, when swatched on the hand or when in the pan, there is a golden sheen when the light hits it. I love the way this looks when applied to the skin! After applying this to my cheeks, it soaked right into my skin and left a matte finish. Because I was skeptical, I finished it off with a touch of translucent powder, which later realized was not even necessary. Even on my oily skin, this blush lasts almost all day and still looks great even at the very end.

Left: Blended out, Right: Thick Swatch; Natural Light
As you can tell the color pay off is pretty good, and the color itself is very natural. This shade is great for summer and spring, but with a darker eye could still be worn into fall! I cannot wait to try out more shades of the NYX Cream Blushes! Rouge can be purchased online from Cherry Culture.
