Soothing Bath Soak + Scrub
After a stressful day, it's always nice to take a relaxing bath and unwind. I love using different bath products for relaxation, and to make my skin nice and smooth. Making them yourself is so rewarding and a lot cheaper! This soak can also be used as a scrub, and is one of my favorites!
What you'll need:
Fresh Lavender (dried lavender works too)
1 1/2 cups Epsom Salt
3 tbsp. Olive Oil
Making this is super simple! Measure out one and a half cups epsom salt in a small bowl. Mix it with about three tablespoons of olive oil. You can add more or less depending on how moist you would like it! In a separate bowl, rinse your mint and lavender leaves, remove them from the stem and put them in the bowl. I ended up with about a quarter of a cup total. Add just a drip of olive oil and spread it throughout the leaves. I use my fingers for this part and pinch the leaves as I go to release a little of the scent. Then, add your epsom salt mixture and stir in the leaves.
At this point, I added just a drip of honey (because I like how smooth it makes my skin) and stirred that in. If you're feeling really adventurous, experiment with adding a drop or two of your favorite essential oils, like eucalyptus or tea tree!
Once you've mixed it all together, you're done! I store mine in a mason jar in the fridge so it lasts a little longer. In the fridge, this should last about a week to a week and a half!
