Strawberry Sparkler Cocktail
It's no secret that I love cocktails, and when a holiday comes around and gives me an excuse to make a special cocktail, I get way too excited. This Strawberry Sparkler is simple to make, tastes delicious, and is perfect for a 4th of July BBQ with friends!
What You'll Need
Fresh Strawberries Water
2 oz Gin Ginger Ale 1 Lime Ice Fresh Blueberries Strawberry Puree
Start out by making your strawberry puree by putting about ten strawberries into a blender or food processor with a few tablespoons of water. Pulse the strawberries until you get a thick puree, add more water as needed if the mixture is too thick. I prefer if the puree isn't super smooth, so I only blend the strawberries a little. This puree will make about four drinks depending on the size of your strawberries and the glass you are using. (Store the remainder of the puree in the fridge for up to 2 days.)
Put the ice in your glass and add your gin. Add the ginger ale until the glass is 2/3 filled. Using a tablespoon, fill the remainder of the glass with the strawberry puree. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top and stir! Garnish with blueberries (I put mine on a skewer) and a lime wedge.
Simple as that! This drink is simple to make and is so refreshing for summer! You can also add the rest of the strawberry puree to ginger ale, sprite, or sparkling water for little ones, or for a refreshing (non-alcoholic) beverage!
