I thought it would be fun to document my journey through oils using a weekly oil diary. Some weeks I may skip, if I'm traveling (or just too busy), but for the most part, I would like to make this a weekly habit. Not only will it give me a way to share with you, but also a way for me to look back on my growth.

Frankincense (2) & Lemon (2) - This was one of the first combinations I tried in my diffuser. I'm a huge fan of Lemon (which I'm sure you'll notice) and the addition of Frankincense just gave me all the heart eyes.

On Guard & Lemon - This was one of those newbie situations that I'm already finding hilarious (now that it's over). This combo is SO good, especially for cleaning the air and saving you if you think you're getting sick. With my low immune system, I always think I'm getting sick and like to take precautionary measures. I was going for 1 drop of On Guard and 2 drops of Lemon, but still being new to the drop lids, it didn't go as planned. I think I ended up with close to 10 drops total (because they just came out like crazy), and in our studio apartment, Cody and I thought we were dying. Luckily, we survived that fiasco and I can easily say it was hilarious - to me at least. Any one else have trouble with those lids when you started out? I'm sure I'm not the only one! lol

Lemon (3) & Sunny Citrus (2) - I love the clean and refreshing smell of citrus essential oils. As someone that's never been a fan of citrus smells, this surprised me. I've realized I've never been a fan of fake citrus smells, but absolutely love the smell of fresh oranges, lemons, limes, etc. (Insert all the drooling heart eyes here.) Citrus smells are also my best friend's favorite, so diffusing them makes me think of her, which is always a good thing. Overall, I love how fresh this makes our apartment smell & the little uplift in my mood that follows.

Breathe (2) & Lemon (2) - I'm sure by now you can tell that I really love lemon. I do. And since I can't eat/drink as much citrus as I want (because of my Behcet's), I try to diffuse it a lot to get my fix. Let me tell you, I fall more and more in love with it each time I mix it with something else. My work space smells incredible and I am constantly smiling at nothing (or the wall).

Deep Blue - My rheumatoid arthritis has been acting up more than normal lately. Deep Blue has been my best friend for this. I use the rub, the touch roller, and the oil, depending on where I'm putting it and the amount of pain I'm in.

Lemon & Melaleuca - Living in a tiny apartment, our trash can often makes the entire kitchen smell a little icky. I put two drops of Lemon and two drops of Melaleuca on a cotton ball and placed it at the bottom of the trash can. Within minutes, this little ball of magic had our trash smelling wonderful!

DigestZen - DigestZen and I are good friends. Since I have a stomach ache 1 or 2 times each day, I've found myself reaching for this little bottle often. This is actually the oil that got me started in essential oils, but that's a story for another day.

I love finding ways to use oils throughout our home. Not only does it motivate me to clean the apartment more, but knowing I'm benefiting our health at the same time is so exciting to me. I'm also loving the alternatives I'm finding for little things throughout our day-to-day lives.
